There is an inherent power energy source in everything that lives, including, of course, human beings. For our concerns, this energy, or intelligent life force has two aspects. One actually manifests our wordly existence on a physical level, and on unseen, subtle, inner levels. Its basic unit is anchored in our heart, and can be called the 'permanent atom.' It powers-up every function of the body and controls and maintains our whole physiological system. The other aspect of this life force leads us, through consciousness, to proper action in a given situation, if we are attuned to it. However, mingling with worldly consciousness hinders our ability to be atturned. It takes a conscious effort to attempt this. In the subject of exercise, I have become attuned to it in a dramatic and magnificent way.
Since this all-intelligent life force provides the motive power for all our activities, and guides each body to function according to its nature, I thought to see if it was amenable to act on a directive from me. I assumed that each person would have an inner, natural propensity for certain types of physical activity, including exercise. Through a subtle awareness and understanding, I was able to grasp the ability to use this power to design my exercise sessions. So, one time when I was experiencing being in 'the presence' during a meditation period, I asked the 'power within' to guide and direct me in a full body exercise session. Spontaneously, I found myself doing various movements, some akin to regular execise, and some like yoga movements. This lasted for several minutes, and then the action subsided.
I can ask for a specific exercise, such as for upper body, or one body area such as arms, etc. and I will get it. I can call for a certain time frame, and the action will start and stop exactly at the time asked for. But, I have realized that if I just call for the perfect session for the day, that is what I get. My general directive is for health, strength, power, and endurance. I leave the timeframe open, and it will usually run around forty minutes. The sessions are mostly well-rounded, with compound joint moves, as well as hitting specific parts. For what I've called for in my exercise routine, I get the perfect activity every day.
Here's where YOU, the client comes into the picture. I can get intuitive instructions from this all-intelligent source in what exercise movements to give to clients each session. These will make up the perfect routine for that particular session. Instead of silencing myself for me, I call forth the proper activity for a client. The 'force' causes me to spontaneously do the movement, which acts as a demonstration of what to do. It's the same I would do anyway, except I'm interjecting infinite wisdom to the task at hand. Each session generally consists of numerous standard anaerobic/aerobic exercises interspersed wih yoga movements, but, when applicable, the 'presence' will interject something new. And, sometimes the new unorthodox movements will make up most of the session. As an example, I've been guided to do pushups with my hands on the floor in various mudra positions. This will give you triceps as strong as steel. Your higher SELF only gives what is appropriate and necessary on a given day. It seems to operate in a systematic fashion. My 35 years of knowledge and experience in what to give clients is accentuated by this ability to tap into this supra guidance.
Let it be noted that clients can pursue their own agenda in the Yoga by Ennis sessions. You may want to accentuate strength, endurance, or lose weight. You may want sport specific help. You may want to be a weightlifter, a martial artist, or any other mode that calls for physical conditioning. Whatever the case, I can offer my expertise, along with the ability to call forth the knowledge of the Inner Self that we all possess.
What is best for one person is not so for another. That's why, for individually fine tuned fitness, I only offer private, or semi-private sessions. Semi-private sessions will run a little longer, in order to give each client specialization. As a general rule certain basics are common, but there is always a deviation for each individual during a session. What is best for each person's constitution is given. Your life force energy boomerangs back and forth between the inner and physical mechanics. And how it corresponds with your personal nature is a determinate of your overall health and fitness.
